31st Workshop of the International Stroke Genomics Consortium

Los Angeles, California, USA

September 25-27, 2024

On behalf of the hosts of the event, Steve Cramer and Thomas Carmichael, thank you for a great workshop in Los Angeles, USA.

We had a productive meeting in Los Angeles, where several discussions sparked conversations and fostered new collaborations. Keynote speakers included Manish Butte, who explored the wide range of genetic disorders manifesting as immunologic diseases; Timothy Chang, who examined the application of genome sequencing to better understand the pathophysiology of progressive supranuclear palsy; and Noah Zaitlen, who addressed genetic associations with environmental exposures. One night, we enjoyed a fun and delicious dinner at a restaurant in Beverly Hills, followed by another evening in Hollywood, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone

Several participants enjoyed a hands-on training session on post-GWAS analyses organized by the Early Career Researcher Committee. Thanks to the teacher Muralidharan Sargurupremraj, and thanks for organizing: John Cole and Chad Aldridge.
