Leadership
All leadership roles are temporary, elected by voting. Any ISGC member can nominate for any leadership or committee role. We strongly encourage new and junior members to nominate for positions on all our committees and working groups. Our organization is only as strong as its newest members.
Steering Committee
The ISGC Steering Committee is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the consortium and for providing support to the Working Groups. We also offer guidance to the hosts of our bi-annual workshops held by the ISGC. Members serve terms of 2 years. The Steering Committee includes the following formal positions plus voted SC members:
- Chair
- Vice-Chair (nominated by the incoming Chair)
- Past Chair
- International Seat
- Junior Investigator
The ISGC’s Strategic Plan 2024 – 2029 can be found here.
Scientific Committee
The scientific committee is responsible for the scientific vision and goals of the ISGC. This includes the current Chair and Co-Chair(s) of upcoming workshops, invited guests relevant to current strategies and all working group representatives.
Working Groups
The regular research work of the ISGC is conducted via working groups organized by topics. Each working group has a Chair and a co-Chair and holds regular working calls throughout the year. All leadership roles are temporary, elected by voting and any ISGC member can postulate to any leadership role. Please see more information on each Working Group under the relevant tabs. Note that while many groups have been active since ISGC inception, we understand that scientific and clinical priorities and endeavors are constantly updating, so Working Group activities and the groups themselves are constantly being updated.
Statutes
The ISGC has their own statutes, which can be found here.
