The Steering Committee (SC) is responsible for the daily management of the ISGC. Committee members are elected by an ISGC-wide vote.
The SC consists of the Chair, Vice-Chair, Past-Chair and seven additional committee members. The SC aims to represent the entire ISGC community and does do by allocating one position for an international (non-US and non-Europe) member and one position for an Early Career member. The Chair and Vice Chair hold terms for two years and are internally selected from among steering committee members. Committee members are elected by an ISGC-wide vote for a term of 2 years.
The SC holds conference calls every month. During the meetings, future workshops are planned, strategic goals and developments are discussed and general action items are addressed.
ISGC members can self-nominate or be nominated by an SC member to participate in the elections for the new SC.
