There is ample evidence that the genetic contribution is greater for stroke at younger compared to older ages. This mini-workshop will emphasize monogenic contributions to early onset stroke, but the session will also present preliminary results from a sex-specific early-onset GWAS and an update on mechanistic studies of prothrombotic factors in early-onset stroke.
