The next ISGC Virtual Mini-Workshop, which will be held on September 15th 2020 at 7-8:30 AM US EDT (1-2:30 PM CEST, 12-1:30 PM BST, 9-10:30 PM Melbourne, 8-9:30 Seoul/Tokyo). Because of the cancellation of our planned in-person workshops for this year, the Steering Committee has decided to organize regular virtual mini-workshops, which will be brief to allow participation across the world. This next mini-workshop, hosted by Amy Brodtmann and Matt Pase in Australia, is entitled: “Cognitive impacts: aging, polygenic risk scores and cerebral small vessel disease”
We have an extraordinary line-up of guest speakers: Dr. Paul Lacaze, Head of the Public Health Genomics Program, Monash University, Australia; and Dr. Elodie Persyn, Research Associate in Statistical Genetics at King’s College London together with Dr Hugh Markus, Professor of Stroke Medicine at University of Cambridge, will present new research. Dr Natalia Rost, MGH Stroke Neurologist and Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and Dr Stéphanie Debette, Professor of epidemiology at Bordeaux University and INSERM Center U1219, will present an overview of their new projects. Dr Debette will chair a stimulating discussion with Dr Bradford Worrall, professor of neurology and public health sciences at the University of Virginia.
