Dr Courtney Takahashi is a full-time neurointensivist at Boston University. She received her medical degree from the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii. Dr Takahashi completed her residency training at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. Her leadership positions within Neurocritical Care include Associate Division Chief for Neurocritical Care and Neurocritical Care Fellowship Director. Apart from the ICU, She is the Inpatient Medical Director for Neurology and the Outpatient Severe Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic Director.
Dr Takahashi research interests include perihematomal edema in spontaneous intracranial hemorrhage, nursing education, and hospital quality improvement. She is particularly vested in finding ways to calculate perihematomal edema volumes.
